Megan Shears
Associate

Based in London, Megan Shears is an Associate at Michael Macfarlane Associates, a discreet international advisory practice built around the belief that in an era shaped by AI and digital visibility, reputation is increasingly formed through media, online interpretation and rapidly evolving information systems.
At Michael Macfarlane Associates, Megan advises ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices and private clients across Europe and Asia on reputation strategy within complex digital and media environments.
Her work focuses on helping clients navigate the changing relationship between influence, technology and public perception, ensuring reputations remain credible and resilient across both traditional and emerging platforms.
Working across advisory, editorial and digital strategy, Megan supports clients in shaping how they are understood across different audiences and ecosystems — from culturally driven visibility and audience engagement to more corporate and institutional positioning across media, LinkedIn and broader public-facing channels. Her work is tailored to each client’s long-term objectives, aligning reputation strategy with wider commercial, investment, philanthropic or cultural ambitions.
Alongside her advisory work, Megan serves as Executive Producer and Head of Content of Wealth Office, a global media platform exploring private wealth’s growing influence on innovation, technology, culture and economic transformation. Since helping shape the platform’s editorial from early stages and launching the series digital presence, she has played a key role in growing its audience across YouTube, Instagram and RED contributing to more than one million cross-platform views and helping expand the platform’s international reach.
Working across production, editorial strategy and digital distribution, Megan oversees audience development and social media workflows across international platforms and cross-cultural digital ecosystems. Through Wealth Office, she has worked on conversations spanning AI, longevity, governance, entrepreneurship and the future of wealth, while helping shape the platform’s positioning within broader discussions around influence, reputation and global change. The platform’s international outlook, particularly its focus on Asia and the next generation of globally minded wealth holders, closely aligns with her broader interest in how influence and public perception are evolving in increasingly interconnected digital environments.
Prior to joining Michael Macfarlane Associates, Megan contributed to Vogue Business, where she explored the intersection of fashion, luxury and industry transformation. Her broader background spans editorial, luxury fashion environments and cultural communications across London, Paris, Milan and New York, including experience supporting international fashion weeks, emerging designers and global fashion collectives.
She has also worked within luxury retail at Dior, supporting boutique operations and high-net-worth clientele within an omni-channel environment. Alongside this, she has worked across fashion shoots and creative productions involving public figures including Ashley Roberts and Nabila, experiences which further developed her understanding of image, luxury and contemporary influence culture.
Drawing on a background in history from King’s College London, Megan brings a historically informed and culturally aware perspective to her work, with a particular interest in how younger and digitally native audiences increasingly engage with reputation, authority and aspiration online. Her interests span fashion, luxury, art and emerging technology, and she is a patron of both the V&A and the Serpentine Galleries. Her work reflects a broader interest in how influence, aesthetics and cultural perception continue to evolve in an increasingly digital society.
